Education Conference - “So, who is in charge of this school anyway?”

28 April 2015

Our next education conference (aimed primarily at independent schools) will be held on Tuesday 28 April 2015 at Pennyhill Park Hotel in Bagshot, Surrey which sits in acres of beautiful Surrey parkland.

We will be examining the relationship between a Head, Bursar and the Governing Body - the challenges, some practical issues, best practice and governance.

We are delighted that Ken Durham, former Head of University College School, will be joining us as our keynote speaker. Ken has been working on a Joint Policy Statement on the relationship between Head, Bursar and Governors, which has now been approved by AGBIS, ISBA, HMC, GSA, IAPS, Society of Heads and by ISC. He will be giving insights into the recommendations and implications of the statement prior to its general release. He will be drawing on his own experience.

Ken’s presentation will be followed by a lively panel discussion, taking in all angles of a school’s leadership, during which participation from the floor will, as ever, be encouraged. The panel will include representatives of some well known schools.

We will be making a charge of £45 plus VAT for each attendee who reserves a place.

We look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be a stimulating evening in beautiful surroundings.
