We regularly organise money-raising events in our offices.
Recent events
- 22 April 2012 - Debbie Leeland (Marketing), Joanna Kemp (Family) and Sam Simpson (Dispute Resolution) all completed the Virgin London Marathon 2012 raising money for Headway Surrey.
- 6 April 2012 - the firm donated 41 Easter eggs to the Eagle Radio Easter egg appeal.
- 23 October 2011 - the firm has entered two teams into the annual swimathon organised by the Woking Rotary to raise money for local charities.
- 16 October 2011 - a group of 20 employees and their families are taking part in the Guildford Riverside Walk and Run, organised by Kellystore Fun-raisers, to raise money for Disability Challengers.
- 14 October 2011 - the firm raised £127.62 for Blue Day - in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust - by dressing down for the day and some members of staff donating home made cakes with a blue theme.
- 26 September 2011 - the firm raised £297.32 for Macmillan by taking part in a number of fundraising activities including a cake sale, soup selling and car washing.
- 24 September 2011 - Helen Gaunt (Residential Property) raised £1,100 for Parkinson's UK by taking part in a skydive.
- 1-4 September 2011 - Tim Adams, Philip Stephenson, Jonathan Steele, Ray Black and his son, Will, took part in the annual Pedal to Paris cycle ride to raise money for the British Legion. You can read about it here.
- 16/17 July 2011 - Debbie Leeland (Marketing) took part in Trailwalker 2011 raising money for Oxfam and Gurkha Welfare Trust. Debbie walked 100km in less than 30 hours and raised £6000 with her team.
- 24 June 2011 - the firm organised a 'Strawberry Tea' morning and served strawberries and cream throughout its offices to raise money for Breast Cancer Care. £120.10 was raised.
- 23 June 2011 - the firm sponsored a duck in the annual Surrey Care Trust duck race. Surrey Care Trust provides support to young people and adults in the local area by providing education and training.
- 18 June 2011 - a number of the firm's employees took part in the Race For Life at Stoke Park to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
- 20 May 2011 - Jo Kemp (family department) took part in The Big Sleep Out to raise money for The Big Issue Foundation.
- 16 May 2011 - a group of employees took part in an 8-mile sponsored walk across the Surrey countryside to raise money for the Surrey Law Centre. They raised a fantastic £588.
- April 2011 - Over 70 Easter Eggs were donated by the staff of Barlow Robbins and delivered to the Eagle Radio Station for their appeal. The eggs are donated to less fortunate children in Surrey and Hampshire.
- 18 March 2011 - the firm raised £290 for Comic Relief by organising a dress down day, a cake sale and a guess-the-baby photo competition.
- 19 November 2010 - the firm took part in Children in Need by arranging a cake sale and a quiz.
- 1 October 2010 - the firm participated in Jeans for Genes Day.
- October 2010 - the firm sponsors the Fountain Centre's Charity Fashion Show.
- August and September 2010 - the firm is currently collecting items to be donated to Guildford Action.
- 26 April 2010 - the firm held a rowing event on North Street in Guildford to raise money for the Reivers 12.
- 25 April 2010 - Debbie Leeland (Marketing) ran the London Marathon to raise money for Heart UK.
- 16 April 2010 - the firm held a cake sale to raise money for Heart UK.
- 19 March 2010 - the firm held a dress down day to raise money for Sports Relief.
- February and March 2010 - members of the firm spent their Saturdays volunteering at a soup kitchen for the homeless set up by Guildford Action.
- March 2010 - the firm's trainee solicitors started a pro bono scheme with Link Leisure and now spend regular time every month assisting the charity.
