UKIPO Anti-Counterfeiting Toolkit

The United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office  (UKIPO) has launched an anti-counterfeiting toolkit for businesses that are plagued by counterfeit versions of their goods. Such problems are rife not only in the entertainment industry, but also in the car (and, even more scarily, aeroplane) parts and pharmaceuticals industries (in the latter the repackaging of out of date goods is also common).

China is a particular culprit, but surprisingly a bus manufacturer was recently successful in a Chinese court action regarding the copying of one of its designs by a Chinese manufacturer.
