If you die without a Will then your assets will be distributed in accordance with the Statutory Rules of Intestacy which are unlikely to accord with your wishes. You might die with a Will that has not been reviewed for many years and again, your assets may not end up where you hoped. Either way, the Revenue might take a bigger slice of Inheritance Tax than it would if you had sought our advice.
