Caroline qualified as a solicitor in 1982 and trained and worked for two well known London firms specialising in Defendant personal injury acting for major Insurance companies. During this time she dealt with some very high value claims involving head injuries, fatal accidents, nervous shock and occupational injury.
Caroline moved to Surrey with her family and set up her own practice for 5 years. She then became a Partner in a local firm and decided to specialise in Claimant personal injury and clinical negligence. She became one of the first members of the Law Societys Personal Injury Panel in 1995 and is also a member of APIL's child injury, spinal injury and occupational disease Special Interest Groups. She found that her previous defendant experience became very useful in negotiating settlements with the Insurance companies for Claimants.
Since joining Barlow Robbins LLP in 1998 Caroline has settled numerous high value cases including a £1million settlement for a paraplegic lady who had fallen off a horse and a £365,000 settlement for a young motorcyclist amputee. She has built up a further portfolio of clinical negligence claims in a number of different medical specialities.
