Philip, an Oxford graduate, proved his commercial acumen by trading commodities for BP and Cargill before qualifying as a solicitor in 1996. He trained with Addleshaw Goddard before moving to Denton Wilde Sapte where he became a Senior Associate in the Corporate Department. He became a Partner of Penningtons in 2005 and was appointed Head of Corporate in 2008.
Philip specialises in Corporate Finance advising buyers, sellers and funders on mergers and acquisitions, MBO/MBIs, takeovers, private equity, fund raisings, joint ventures, start ups, reorganisations, refinancing and commercial contracts. He has experience of a broad range of sectors and a particular expertise in healthcare.
