Trainee Legal Executive or Chartered Legal Executive Vacancy Dispute Resolution – Guildford

Barlow Robbins LLP requires a Trainee or Chartered Legal Executive to join the Dispute Resolution Department based in Guildford on a full time basis.

Job Overview:

To efficiently carry out the debt recovery process from preparing pre action letters to undertaking enforcement action.

To ensure all administrative tasks to include filing, photocopying, archiving and data entry are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

To handle some mortgage repossession cases where we act in cases where the borrower is deceased without family.

To manage a caseload of matters under the supervision of your manager.

To assist other fee earners within the Dispute Resolution Department on an ad hoc basis with various tasks in support of the Departmental business needs.

To develop and improve internal knowledge management systems as appropriate to increase productivity and improve client service.

This role will suit someone who is currently studying for their CILEx qualification or who is already qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive, with a genuine interest in litigation and debt recovery. Previous experience is required.

Applicants must be IT literate and confidently able to use Word, Outlook and Excel with good attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record of being a team player, have superior client service, a real desire to help people, a “can do” attitude and a willingness to get involved with all aspects of supporting this thriving department.

Salary is depending on level of qualification and experience.

Commercial Property Senior Associate Solicitor Vacancy – Guildford

A vacancy has arisen in our Commercial Property Department for a Senior Associate Solicitor based at our Guildford office. The role is full time, however, for the right candidate we will consider flexible working. The successful candidate would need to be available to start early in 2020 to cover a period of maternity leave on a fixed term contract.

The role is to undertake a varied case-load of commercial property and development matters, working as part of an experienced team, ensuring that individual financial targets and objectives are met in line with the Department business plan. The successful candidate will have sound technical knowledge and the ability to work with minimal supervision is essential.

Risk and Compliance Officer Vacancy – Woking

We are seeking a full-time Risk and Compliance Officer to work within the Risk, Compliance and Quality Department based at the Woking office. This position will work closely with the Risk, Compliance & Quality Manager and Compliance Officer for Legal Practice to ensure that the Firm complies with its regulatory obligations.

The successful candidate will also work regularly with the Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration regarding compliance relating to money laundering as well as helping to ensure adherence from all employees to internal risk management and quality procedures together with, external statutory compliance.
