Risk and Compliance Officer Vacancy – Woking

We are seeking a full-time Risk and Compliance Officer to work within the Risk, Compliance and Quality Department based at the Woking office. This position will work closely with the Risk, Compliance & Quality Manager and Compliance Officer for Legal Practice to ensure that the Firm complies with its regulatory obligations.

The successful candidate will also work regularly with the Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration regarding compliance relating to money laundering as well as helping to ensure adherence from all employees to internal risk management and quality procedures together with, external statutory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent administration skills
  • Strong IT and technical skills
  • A positive, ‘can do’ attitude
  • Qualifications in some legal capacity - a law degree would be an advantage
  • Previous experience working within a legal firm
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Facilities and Business Operations Apprentice Vacancy

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our busy Facilities and Business Operations team for a Facilities and Business Operations Assistant for a period of 18 months. The role will be based from the Guildford and Woking offices working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm.An exciting opportunity has arisen within our busy Facilities and Business Operations team for a Facilities and Business Operations Assistant for a period of 18 months. The role will be based from the Guildford and Woking offices working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm.

The successful Apprentice/Assistant will enrol on the Advanced Apprenticeship in Business and Administration with mentoring support from our chosen provider - Brooklands College. The qualification will be achieved through on-the-job support and training with 20% percent of the working week allocated to course tasks and requirements.

Applicants must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to pick up new systems and technology quickly. A passion for excellent customer service, good communication skills, attention to detail and a can-do attitude is required. The ability to drive between the offices on a regular basis is preferred.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Facilities and Business Operations team including:

Personal Injury/Clinical Negligence Trainee Legal Executive Vacancy – Guildford

Barlow Robbins LLP requires a Trainee Legal Executive to join the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Department based in Guildford on a full time basis.

Through internal and external client service, team work, initiative, communication and self-management the successful candidate will act as an ambassador for the Department and firm at all times.

This role will suit someone who has experience within Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence who is studying for their Chartered Legal Executive and with a genuine interest in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence law.

Applicants must be IT literate and confidently able to use Word, Outlook and Excel with good attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record of being a team player, have superior client service, a real desire to help people, a “can do” attitude and a willingness to get involved with all aspects of supporting this thriving department.
