Barlow Robbins recognised as top-tier law firm in London & South East

Barlow Robbins is proud to announce another year of successful rankings in the Legal 500 and Chambers 2020 guides, cementing the firm’s standing as a top tier law firm in the South.

The Legal 500 2020

Barlow Robbins has gained widespread recognition in the Legal 500, with the guide recommending 15 practice areas and eight individuals – an increase on last year’s rankings.

The firm has been ranked as a top tier firm in Charities and Not-for-Profit, Commercial Property, Family and Contentious Trusts and Probate, with a further 11 practice areas recommended in Tiers 2-4, including Property Litigation who are ranked Tier 3 for the first time. The firm is also recognised amongst top London firms for its work in the education sector and family mediation.

Four individuals are listed in the elite leading lawyer ranking, including Judith Ball (Family), Karen Barham (Family – Mediation), Gordon Reid (Charities and Not-For-Profit) and Joanna Lada-Walicki (Education).

Scott Taylor (Contentious Trusts and Probate) and Joanna Farrands (Family) are listed as next generation partners and Victoria Jones (Clinical Negligence) and Lisa Green (Contentious Trusts and Probate) tipped as rising stars.

Chambers UK 2020

Chambers 2020 has recognised the firm’s success in a variety of practice areas over the last 12 months, ranking 11 practice areas, all in the Top 4 Bands, and highlighting 20 individuals to note.

Most notably, Personal Injury (Guildford & Surrounds) and Professional Negligence (Mainly claimant – The South) have climbed the rankings this year, to Band 1 and Band 2 respectively.

For the first time, the firm has been ranked Band 2 for Private Wealth Disputes (HNW – Guildford & Surrounds) with Chambers listing Scott Taylor as a leading individual and Lisa Green as a star associate.

The firm has also been ranked Band 2 for Education: Institutions (UK Wide) for a second continuous year, with Joanna Lada-Walicki listed as a leading individual for 2019 and Ben Collingwood recognised as an up and coming professional in the field.
