2019 is expected to bring wholesale changes to the UK Immigration system. Britain’s politically charged departure from the EU and the subsequent ending of free movement rights will bring new challenges for businesses who rely on workers from overseas.
The Immigration White Paper published in December 2018 hints at this new future, including a new “single tier” immigration system that will apply to both EU and non EU-nationals and the impact of an increased use of technology in processing applications.
This seminar will focus on how businesses can best adapt to the latest developments in Immigration law, changes to the status of EU nationals working in the UK and shape of the future Immigration system.
We will be considering the latest developments surrounding Brexit, analysing the Settled Status Scheme and the implications for businesses reliant on EU workers.
