Commerical Property Lease & Tenancy Disputes
We work for a variety of businesses and organisations, including small and medium sized enterprises, letting agents, property management companies and property investment companies. Our property litigation team works closely with our commercial property team handling a varied caseload for our commercial clients.
We have good contacts in the property field to whom we can refer as necessary for expert evidence and have developed close links with specialist barristers’ chambers.
We advise on the interpretation and enforcement of lease covenants, service charge disputes, dilapidations cases, rent reviews and lease renewals under the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954.
We can provide strategic advice in relation to the recovery or management of multi-let buildings and sites through serving possession notices, advising on recovery through forfeiture proceedings and acting for landlords in recovering rent arrears.
When acting for tenants the team advises leasehold owners who have disputes with their landlords or their managing agents following alleged breaches of covenant. We advise tenants upon lease renewals, rent reviews, disrepair cases and forfeiture proceedings. We have considerable experience of serving break and other notices.
